Viewing information about a patient from GP Connect
Only for England.
Depending on your organisation and permissions, you can view information about a patient from GP Connect, including the patient's medications and allergies.
You might view this information when adding a patient's arrival medications and allergies in Nervecentre.

Viewing information about a patient from GP Connect on a desktop

From Primary Care, you can view primary care information shared through GP Connect. For example, prescribed medications and allergies.

Choose a date range to filter the available information. |

Open the patient's record.

From Inpatients, select Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.

From Outpatients, select Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.

From , select Primary Care.

Select Continue to confirm.
Nervecentre checks the patient's NHS number A unique 10 digit number given to patients in England and Wales. A patient is given an NHS number when they are born, or on their first visit to a healthcare provider. and PDS Personal Demographic Service, an NHS system. The PDS helps healthcare professionals to identify patients and match them to their health records. It also allows them to contact and communicate with patients..

Select an option from the menu on the left.

Open the patient's record.

From Inpatients, select Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.

From Outpatients, select Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.

Select Patient admin.

To view the patient's medications, select View Medications.

To view the patient's allergies, select View Allergies.

From Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select > Arrived on.

To view the patient's medications, select See GPConnect Medication Details.

To view the patient's allergies, select See GPConnect Allergies Details.
